Empire Exhibition 1938, Glasgow
My late Father was a keen photographer and left albums with interesting pictures of life in the late 1930's and the immediate post-War period. Many of his childhood holidays were spent on the banks of the River Clyde else on family farms in the Perthshire area. This special section features the Empire Exhibition of 1938 held in Bellahouston Park in Glasgow. I decided to bring these old photos out of the albums and by means of the internet display them to show these images of a bygone age. Dedicated to the memory of Allan Dalziel (1910-1984) |

coldal web pages is the internet as it once was - non commercial, amateur, and personal but updated and maintained in 2010.
There are no logins required, no registration ....and definately NO "Ads by Google" that seems to pollute almost every non-commercial web site nowadays.
The pages are a family-friendly miscellany of items, including a depository for personal and family photos posted for posterity.
